Organization Mentoring

Are you new to the field? Or working on growing your organization and would like to talk with others that have most likely been in your shoes before? Having issues with local support or an unfriendly political environment?

Contact us at admin@iaacwo.org and we can match you with others who can share their experiences whether it is animal control, shelter management,  fundraising, organizational/non-profit management, board of directors, advocacy issues, ordinances, case management, rescue and much more.

Spay Day 2011 Spay/Neuter Promotion

New in 2011, IAACWO will kick off the first ever Spay Day Indiana competition to help curb puppy and kitten season and control the overpopulation problem in Indiana. Spay Day is an annual campaign of The Humane Society of the United States and Humane Society International to inspire people to save animal lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats.

Officially the last Tuesday of February, Spay Day includes events and activities taking place throughout February across the United States and U.S. territories, and around the world.

Create your own Spay Day program or promotion and compete with other animal welfare organizations for the most innovative, highest number of spay/neuter surgeries during a Spay Day event and rookie of the year for newbies.

Check back soon for full details and how to register to compete. Let’s make 2011 a record year for spay/neuter!
